Venison - a must...
Tender and flavourful, venison will please the most discerning palate! Considering the wide variety available, there is surely something for everyone.
Venison is wholesome, lean and very rich in protein. Farmed or wild, the fat content of game meat is very low. There are two reasons for the low fat content. The first is attributable to the fact that the animals have much more room to roam and expend more energy as a result. The second is due to their diet.
Venison is available in a great variety of cuts, including: filet, loin, leg, rump, shoulder, rack, medallion, tournedos, brochette and stewing cubes, as well as minced meat and roast.
This way to the kitchen!
Venison is rich in flavour and texture. Most often, game meat is cooked like any other red meat. However, because the meat is very lean, cooking times and temperatures must be reduced.
