Returns and exchanges

It's rare for a product to be unavailable, but it can happen.

Standard Delivery or Pickup

A product that was available when you placed your order online might sell out by the time we prepare your order in-store. If this happens, and substitutions are permitted in your preferences, we will do our best to replace it with a similar product. In the case of a price difference, you will be charged the price of the substitution.

If you are not completely satisfied with our choice, we will be happy to refund you. You can return the product(s) to any Metro store within 14 days of delivery or request a refund through your Order History. To learn more, please consult Metro's Return Policy.

Express Delivery

If one of the products you ordered is not available, your shopper will contact you to confirm your preferences and ensure that the substitution suits you. If you do not answer the call, they will do their best to choose a similar product to replace the one you ordered. If you are not completely satisfied, you can request a refund by calling our customer service at 1-866-595-5554.

A product doesn't quite meet your expectations? Here's what you can do.

Request your refund online directly through your account's Order History. It's easy! An agent will validate your request before processing your refund.

Good to know: You can only submit one online refund request per order, and your request must be submitted within 3 days of receiving your order.

Express Delivery

If you are unhappy with any of the products you have received, simply return them to your Metro store within 14 days. Consult Metro's Return Policy.

If you return a product in-store that was paid for in whole or in part with your rewards points, we will process the return in one of the following ways:

1) We will refund it to you in the form of a gift card,

OR

2) Points redeemed to purchase the product will be credited to your account.

Please note that the participating store reserves the right to deduct any base points or promotional points allocated to you at the time of purchase. Points redemption is not available for any of our services fulfilled by our external partners.
