Account management

The moiID identifier is a new secure and unified connection method deployed at Jean Coutu, metro, Brunet, Super C, and soon at Première Moisson. This identifier represents an access key made up of your email address and a password (chosen by yourself). Depending on the platform used (web or app), you must enter your moiID identifier in the moiID login page that appears on the screen. Logging in with your moiID identifier then allows you to alternatively access your various accounts without having to identify yourself again.

Depending on the platform used (web or app), when you click on the login icon to one of your accounts, you are automatically redirected to a moiID login page. If you have a moiID account, you authenticate yourself with your moiID identifier (email and password). Otherwise, you must create your moiID account to be able to establish the connection. You are then automatically returned to the home page from where you initiated the request to access your account.

Depending on the platform used (web or app), the moiID login page is the authentication interface to which you are automatically redirected when you log in to one of your accounts. To do so, you must authenticate yourself with your moiID identifier—or create your moiID account if you do not have one.

To create your moiID account, all you need to do is provide your first and last name, an email address and a password.

No. The account(s) you hold under one or more participating banners will remain intact.

During the deployment of the moiID login system, the accounts and data of metro and Super C member customers will be migrated (transferred) to moiID accounts created automatically for them. This operation will in no way affect the state of these accounts and data: they will remain intact.

It is important to note that if you were using the same email address, but two separate passwords to access two different banners (e.g., Metro and PJC), the second password will be lost during said migration.

Yes. It is important to note, however, that deleting your moiID account will result in the permanent and irreversible loss of all accounts and data you hold under all banners (Metro, Super C, Jean-Coutu, Brunet, and Premiere Moisson) where you are registered—with the exception of the information contained in your pharmacy health record(s), which is preserved.

If you still wish to delete your moiID account, log into your account from the website or app of a participating banner. This login request will automatically redirect you to the moiID login page from where you can delete your moiID account.

To close an account held under a particular banner, follow the instructions outlined below:

Metro

  • Web: Log in to your account then click Delete Account in the My Profile section.
  • App: Click the moi icon then on Delete my account and/or my card.

Super C

  • Web: Log in to your account then click Delete Account in the My Profile section.
  • App: Click the More icon then on Delete my account in the My Account section.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)—or Two-Factor Authentication—is an enhanced security feature that requires the user to provide, in addition to their username and password, additional proof of their identity. The user must provide two authentication factors to access resources and data.


You can choose one of the following three multi-factor authentication methods:

  • 1. Your password + a security code sent by text message (SMS);
  • 2. Your password + a security code generated by the mobile application; or
  • 3. Your password + a security question.

No. Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication is optional.


Please note that, as a precautionary measure (e.g., loss of your smartphone, and therefore of access to SMS text messages and mobile application), you can configure two methods of multi-factor authentication. In this case, however, one of the two methods will have to combine the security question and either SMS or the application.

Contact customer service to report the problem.

You will not be able to disable multi-factor authentication since to do so you would first need to log into your account, which would require using your phone to obtain the security code via text message (SMS) or via the app. Contact customer service to report the problem.

Click "Forgot your password?". A temporary password will be sent to you by email.

Once logged into your account, we recommend that you change this password to create a personal one.

To change the Metro grocery store assigned to you, log in to your account, access your profile (My Account), then click on "My favourite store" to select a new one.

To change your delivery address(es), log in to your account, access your profile (My account), then click on "My online purchasing preferences" to complete your changes.


To change your personal contact information, log in to your account, access your profile (My account), then click on "My profile" to complete your changes.

Save your receipt and have it stamped before leaving the store. Within a maximum of 14 days, go to the service counter of the same store with your receipt and your membership card (physical or digital). The number of points indicated on the receipt will be credited to your account.

To change your newletter subscriptions from metro and/or its partners, log in to your account, access your profile (My account), then click on "My communication preferences" to complete your changes.

To change the language of the electronic communications that are sent to you, access your profile (My account), then click on "My communication preferences" to complete your changes.

To unsubscribe from the metro and/or its partners newsletters, log in to your account, access your profile (My account), then click on "My communication preferences" to cancel your subcription(s).
