In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.Put lobster in and bring to a boil.Cook until shells turn red. Once water comes to a boil again, count 5 minutes for one pound (454 g) and one minute for each additional 1/2 pound (227 g).Remove lobsters with a skimmer or tongs and drain. Cut lobster in two lengthways and set aside.In a glass bowl, mix the ingredients for marinade.Brush insides of lobsters with lime juice preparation, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.Preheat barbecue to medium heat.Remove lobster from marinade and drain.Place lobster on oiled grill, meat side down.Grilled for 5 to 6 minutes or until lobsters are hot.

  • sufficient quantity, salted water: 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) of salt per 4 cups (1 L) of water
  • 4 x 1 lb
    (4 x 454 g)
    fresh live lobster
  • lime marinade:

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp.
    (10 mL)
    lime zest
  • 1/4 tsp.
    (1 mL)
    pepper
  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)
    unsalted butter, melted
