Spread mayonnaise on the insides of the bread slices. Divide the sliced turkey, onion jam, mustard and cheese among half of the bread slices. Close the sandwiches. Butter the outsides of the bread slices.In a frying pan on medium heat, fry two sandwiches at a time until golden.
