Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.Grease a 2 litre baking dish with cooking spray.In a small saucepan, brown butter by letting it melt over medium heat. Once it melts, stir often until it starts to sizzle and foam. Keep stirring for a few minutes until the butter smells nutty. The milk solids on the bottom of the pan will brown. Remove from heat so it doesn’t burn.To make the filling, in a large bowl, whisk the browned butter, brown sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and corn starch. Add sliced apples and toss, coating the apples in the butter mixture.Make the crumble topping by combining the cold butter, oats, almond flour, sugars and pecans in a medium bowl. Use your fingers to pinch the butter into the dry ingredients to create a mix of clusters.Pour coated apple slices into the baking dish and then top with even layer of the crumble.Bake for 50 minutes and let it cool down so it’s just warm before serving. A scoop of vanilla ice cream on top is optional but strongly suggested.
