Place all ingredients, except beans, in the container of a food processor. Grind until you get a pesto texture (the herbs can stay in pieces, they don't need to be mashed smooth). If the mixture is too thick, add a little oil as needed.
Take about half of the herb mixture and set aside.
Add the beans to the food processor, and grind until you get a fairly smooth mash texture (like a hummus). Adjust the seasoning to taste.
Put the mash in a serving dish. Add the rest of the herb mixture, and garnish with a drizzle of olive oil if desired. Serve
Serve with raw vegetables or crackers, or as a garnish in wraps and sandwiches.
Note: for lunches, place a little dip in the bottom of a pot, then garnish with raw vegetables, as in the photo.
