Preheat barbecue to medium heat.In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, half the garlic, salt and pepper.Add the mushrooms and marinate for 30 minutes.Mix the meat, egg, onion and remaining garlic.Shape 4 patties and grill on barbecue.For a smokier taste, cook the squares of Parmesan fondue en papillote.On the grill, lay 2 sheets of aluminum foil. Place the squares of Parmesan fondue in the centre of the foil; add the thyme. Close the foil tightly and cook for about 10 minutes.Cook the mushrooms on the grill until they are golden brown.Garnish burger buns with ketchup and place a patty, mushrooms and one square of Parmesan fondue. Add lettuce and slices of red onion, to taste.
