Prepare the chargrill for high-temperature direct cooking.When the barbecue is ready, brush and oil the grill.Grill the tomatoes, onion, garlic, and peppers from 6 to 8 minutes, turning them a few times.Remove the vegetables when the skin is grilled.Place the peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and coriander in the mixer, and mix until puréed.Add the lime juice, then add salt and pepper to taste.Pour the salsa into small bowls.Generously salt the steaks, place them on the oiled grill, and grill from 2 to 4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare steak.During this time, cook the tortillas on the grill for about 20 seconds on each side, until they are tender, soft, and nicely golden.Serve the steaks with small bowls of salsa and tortillas.

  • 3 Tbsp.
    (45 mL)
    coarsely chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)
    freshly squeezed lime juice

  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4
    T-bone steaks or sirloin steaks
  • 4
    large tortillas or 8 small tortillas
