Crumble:Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).In a bowl, mix all the ingredients in order.Work the mixture with your hands until it becomes a sandy dough.Cover an oven tray with parchment paper and spread the dough.Put in the oven for a few minutes until golden brown.Leave to cool on the tray.Break the crumble winto little pieces.Stewed apple:In a bowl, mix the apples, innamon,nutmeg and lemon juice. Put to one side.In a warm lightly buttered pan, cook the spiced apples on a medium heat.Add the remaining butter, brown sugar and simmer for several minutes. Stir gently. Cook until the texture of the apples starts to melt.To serve, place the stewed apples in the bottom of the verrine and garnish with crumble. Decorate with a cinnamon stick.

  • 1 3/4 oz
    (50 g)
    flour
  • 2 1/2 oz
    (75 g)
    sugar or maple sugar
  • 1/4 tsp.
    (1 mL)
    ground cinnamon
  • 3 1/2 oz
    (100 g)
    rolled oats
  • 2 1/2 oz
    (75 g)
    butter, at room temperature, cut into pieces
  • 1
    cinnamon stick, to garnish
  • stewed

  • 3
    golden delicious apples, peeled, cored, finely diced
  • 1/2 tsp.
    (2 mL)
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch
    ground nutmeg
  • 0.500
    lemon, squeezed
  • 3 1/2 oz
    (100 g)
    butter
  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)
    brown sugar
