In a bowl, combine the pizza mozzarella cheese, egg, basil and salami. Season to taste.Shape mixture into 12 walnut-sized balls and flatten slightly. Press into bread crumbs to coat.Refrigerate one hour.In a non-stick pan, heat the oil and brown the balls 2 minutes on each side, or until crisp and golden.Serve hot on a slice of tomato.
