  • 1 oz
    tequila

  • zest and juice of 1/2 lime
  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)
    maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp.
    (2 1/2 mL)
    green tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)
    condiments with white wine vinegar
  • 3/4 cup
    (180 mL)
    basil flavoured extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 Tbsp.
    (60 mL)
    cilantro, chopped

  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Dressing:

Mix all the ingredients together.

Jalapeno margarita (cocktail):

Mix the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, jalapeno, and cilantro in a shaker with ice.

Pour into a glass with ice.

Add the ginger ale.

Remove the jalapeno from the shaker and add them to the glass.

Salad:

Pre-heat the BBQ.

Grill the chicken breasts for 7 to 8 minutes on each side.

Cut the chicken into strips and place on the salad.

Pour vinaigrette on top.
