Bring a pot to medium-high heat.
Add olive oil and the onions to the pot and cook until translucent (approx. 5min).
Reduce heat to medium, and add the garlic and ginger. Once fragrant add the spices and fry for 1 minute.
Pour in the coconut milk, once it comes to a simmer add the cod steaks.
Poach in simmering coconut milk until the internal temperature of the cod steaks reaches 70°C, approx. 10 minutes.
Add lime juice, lime zest, green onion, pepper and basil.
Serve with basmati rice and enjoy!
