Preheat the oven to 350° F (180° C)Sift first 5 ingredients.Add the almonds.In another bowl, mix the remaining ingredients.Fold liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients.Make two loaves about 8 in. (20 cm) long and about 1 in. (2 cm) thick.Place on a nonstick, or parchement paper covered, cookie sheet.Bake in the oven 30 min.Cut each loaf in 12 slices and return to the oven about 20 min. to dry themLet cool and serve.
