Finely grate ginger using a cheese grater and set aside.Cut strawberries into thin slices and set aside.Fill a large bowl with ice and add the white wine and ginger ale.Add ginger, strawberries, pepper, lime juice and basil leaves.Stir gently.Serve in wine glasses.
