Drill small holes in the bottom of a cardboard egg container. Return the egg container to use as a support to hold the mini-cones straight-up.
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips.
Pour a small amount of melted chocolate into the mini-cones to coat the inner walls. Dip the top of the mini-cones into the melted chocolate. Allow to cool in the egg container.
Spread the maple butter in the mini-cones. Sprinkle with maple flakes. Refrigerate until serving time.
