Preheat the oven to 350(f) degrees. Line a 13 by 9-inch baking pan with parchment paper leaving a 2-inch overhang & set aside.In a large mixing bowl whisk together the sugar & butter until well combined. Add the eggs & vanilla.Sift in the flour, baking powder & salt. Mix until the batter just comes together, do not overmix.Fold in the Halloween candy & transfer batter to the prepared pan. Smooth the top flat using an offset spatula.Bake until the top is golden & shiny, about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven & let cool completely before slicing into squares.
