In a bowl, whisk together the milk and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.Stir in cream and vanilla seeds, and whisk until well-blended.Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn (usually about 25-30 minutes, depending on the ice cream maker).Add the berries and any accumulated juices to the ice cream in the last 10 minutes of churning.Freeze for about 2-3 hours.If you’re using strawberries (you can skip this step for other berries), combine slices with ¼ cup (60 mL) of the sugar.Let them sit and absorb the sugar for about 2 hours.
