A veritable cornucopia! This is what you will find every day of the week at your Metro greengrocer's counter.

Not surprisingly, a place of choice is reserved for home-grown fruit! The fruits of Quebec are a reflection of its inhabitants: strong and robust! Fortunately for us, they are also delicious and, in the case of greenhouse-grown fruits, available year-round. Apples, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, watermelons, cantaloupes, are all grown right here in our own backyard.

Most of us are already familiar with many of these fruits but other, more "exotic" varieties are hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. Even the common apple now comes in over a dozen varieties!

In order to simplify the exploration and buying processes, your Metro greengrocers have grouped their prized fruits in the following seven categories: citrus fruits, berries, stone fruits, pome (seed) fruits, dry fruits (nuts), tropical fruits and melons. Now that's a fruit salad!
