In a glass bowl, combine the vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, cornstarch, mustard and Tabasco sauce.Set aside. In a small saucepan, brown the garlic and onion in the butter-oil mixture.Add the ketchup mixture and let simmer for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
