Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).In a bowl, cream butter, brown sugar and eggs together. Mix in applesauce, grated apple and orange zest. Set aside.In another bowl, mix dry ingredients together.Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture.Pour batter into a lightly greased and floured 8x4 in. (20x10 cm) pan.Bake for 60 min. or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
