Dry some lemon peel, ensuring you remove the white part to eliminate any bitterness. Then place in blender and pulverize. The lemon powder can then be combined with sugar for a delicious seasoning.
2 Clean the house
Place peel in a glass container and cover with white vinegar. Let sit for a week or two. Then add an equal part of water to the vinegar and you’re ready to go!
3 Add sunshine to your veggies
When paired with a pinch of Parmesan, lemon zest does wonders for enhancing the taste of green beans, broccoli and asparagus. Your guests will ask for seconds!
4 Disinfect your worktops
Rub a halved lemon over your counters and cutting boards and let sit for a few minutes before rinsing. It’s that easy!
5 Keep your brown sugar soft
Drop some lemon peel into your brown sugar container to keep the contents dry and free of lumps.
Orange

Plain or dipped in chocolate, candied orange peel is simply irresistible!

Save your orange peels to add a splash of flavour to tea or herbal infusions. Serve with a cinnamon stick and a few cardamom seeds for a comforting treat!
4 Create flavoured honey
Allow some orange peel to infuse in a container of honey for several weeks, then remove for a deliciously flavoured honey.
5 Keep garbage odours at bay
Slip some orange peel in the bottom of your garbage bin before placing a bag. This simple trick keeps unwanted smells and insects out!
Limes
1 Freeze the zest
Do you usually toss your freshly squeezed limes? Not so fast! First you should remove the zest, which can be frozen in resealable bags for future use.
2 Add kick to your salt
Dry some lime peel, then pulverize in the blender. Mix the resulting powder with sea salt to make the perfect seasoning for white fish or seafood!
3 Make some lime ice cubes
